Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist for a client based in Ennis, Co.Clare. The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-18 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team. This a temporary contract role. 

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will take a lead role in key areas of service development, reporting to the disability service manager. 

The ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload, and work in an inter-disciplinary way using a family centered practice approach are also keys requirements of the role.

It is an opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and be a positive influence on shaping services within a Children's Disability Service. 


Role Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
  • experience working with children with disabilities
  • All candidates must have three years full time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Have excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner
