About the Role
Due to ongoing growth and expansion, Nuvo are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our clients leadership team.

The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered in a homely setting where resident quality of life is the top priority.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Director of Nursing in leading strategic and clinical operations

Oversee nursing care delivery, staff management, and clinical documentation

Perform internal audits and ensure Epicare records are fully up to date

Drive continuous improvement and best practices across all care areas

Represent the home in regulatory matters, including HIQA inspections when required

Monitor and manage complaints, incidents, and related action plans

Assume the role of Person-in-Charge in the DON’s absence in line with HIQA standards

Ensure high standards of hygiene, food safety, and clinical governance

Coach and appraise staff regularly; support disciplinary processes with HR

Assist with staff rostering, coordination, and leadership

Contribute to policy development and quality-of-life initiatives for residents
Requirements
-
Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
-
Minimum 3 years' experience in an ADON or acting ADON capacity (desirable)

Demonstrable leadership, communication, and organisational skills
-
Sound knowledge of HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007
-
Post-registration qualification in gerontology or dementia care (desirable)
-
Must be eligible to work in Ireland
